A hotel on one of the most prominent intersections in Wauwatosa has changed hands.
Renaissance Milwaukee West at 2300 N. Mayfair Road, on the southwest corner of Mayfair Mall, was sold to Witness Investment, a Chicago-based private equity firm that specializes in the hospitality industry. The sale was announced Sept. 2 by Hunter Advisors, which brokered the transaction.
The news release about the sale did not specify the sales price, though city property records show the 12-story, 196-room hotel was sold in June to an entity listed as Mayfair Mall Acquisition for $4.4 million. The property also includes the Eldr+Rime restaurant.
“This was a rare opportunity to acquire a modern, well-located Marriott asset with significant growth ahead of it, and we couldn’t be more excited to add it to our portfolio," Gurtej Medi, managing partner of Witness Investment, said in the news release.
