The charging document in a recent robbery at the PNC Bank on the far west side of Wauwatosa describes the suspect as a 33-year-old Milwaukee man who was both blunt about his intentions and knowledgeable in his use of banking lingo.
“I’m robbing the place,” Ryan Ashford announced after walking into the bank at 2360 N 124th St. around 1 p.m. Aug. 15, according to one employee’s statement to Wauwatosa police.
Ashford was wearing a mask and a black padded vest over a black hoodie and black cargo pants, according to witnesses. He allegedly ordered everyone in the bank to the ground, then told them to line up against a wall before commanding a teller give him all the cash in the teller’s drawer.
