Tosa Forward News was launched in August 2025 to fill a gap in local news coverage with hyperlocal stories of interest to Wauwatosa residents. Its mission is to provide accurate, objective and up-to-date news and information from the perspective of our community's lived experiences.
A guiding principle of the website is to offer value to readers while being cautious not to do anything that would greatly diminish the user experience. Most of the early revenue has come from a growing core of paid members, and Tosa Forward News also is experimenting with incorporating promotional opportunities for select sponsors in ways that will enhance the value to readers, connect those readers to the sponsors and grow the website's reach.
