The overnight storm began causing outages late Aug. 9, and many customers remained without power for much of Aug. 10 as We Energies crews responded to city neighborhoods.

The Aug. 9 storm that dropped several inches of rain on the Milwaukee area and cause widespread flooding also has knocked out power in many neighborhoods, including for hundreds of customers in Wauwatosa.

The overnight storm began causing outages late Aug. 9, and many customers remained without power for much of Aug. 10 as We Energies crews responded to city neighborhoods. As of about 5 p.m. Aug. 10, an estimated 287 customers in Wauwatosa were without electricity, according to the We Energies online outage map.

Hundreds more customers were without power in neighboring communities, including Brookfield (552), Elm Grove (1039), West Allis (419), Menomonee Falls (2,646) and Milwaukee (9305).

Milwaukee County fared the worst, with more than 10,000 customers without power one day after the storm.
