Under the new configuration of Bluemound and 99th Street, the intersection will get a four-way traffic signal to improve the flow of traffic while making the intersection safer for pedestrians.
Though cars won't be able to get through, the county is turning the half-mile middle segment into a dedicated bike and pedestrian path, an extension of the Oak Leaf Trail.
