Love 'em or hate 'em, the Tosa turkeys have become a fact of life in Wauwatosa, as commonplace as an Amtrak train passing through Tosa Village or a Hoytie Toytie donut at Cranky's.
Then this week, CBS 58 broke new ground reporting about the extent of the turkeys' meddling with local affairs. It seems even mail delivery is at risk.
The headline: "Tosa residents say postal workers won't deliver mail on their street due to turkey takeover."
Reporter Duaa Israr interviewed residents on Church Street who said the turkeys can get rather aggressive when the U.S. Postal Service reaches their block. Kevin Pulz shared the story of one intrepid mail carrier who was no match for the turkeys.
