This year's primary election was a significant one, from setting the general election lineups up and down the ballot to testing the pulse of a Wisconsin electorate that appears very much in flux.

And Wauwatosa voters were at the forefront of many of those Election Day storylines.

For example, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley edged out state Rep. Francesca Hong of Madison for the Democratic nomination for governor by fewer than 4,000 votes.

Total votes cast by Tosans in that race: 12,820.
