Thousands of Wauwatosa voters went to the polls on April 7, as participants in Wisconsin's spring election had their say in determining the outcome of several state and local elections.

All 31 of Wauwatosa's wards had reported some results as of 9:10 p.m., and by night's end, a fuller batch of totals was reflected on the Milwaukee County Clerk's Office online results page. Those totals indicate all three incumbent Tosa School Board members survived a challenge from four candidates who had aligned themselves as the "2030 Slate." The ewcomer not aligned with the 2030 Slate, Melissa Lamers, also appears to have won.

The April 7 election marked the transition to a system of results based on the top four vote-getters from the whole pool of candidates, rather than separate head-to-head contests for numbered board seats.

In the three Common Council races that were contested, the initial returns point to victories by Amanda Saso in District 4, Michael Indy Stluka in District 8 and Melissa Dolan in District 11.

Two newcomers, one incumbent win contested races for Common Council
All 12 seats on the council were up for election under a new structure that is reducing the council’s size, but only three of the 12 elections were contested.

Statewide, voters also picked a new Wisconsin Supreme Court judge. After the polls closed, several news outlets called that race in favor of the liberal-aligned candidate, Judge Chris Taylor.
