The iconic landmark in Tosa Village, the city's oldest commercial building, became an island surrounded by the floodwaters of the Menomonee River on Aug. 10
The declaration came after the governor visited Wauwatosa and Milwaukee and spoke to local officials and residents who are dealing with the aftermath of the weekend flooding.
The team is now facing uncertainty about its field, its equipment, its practice schedule and even its first games after the recent floodwaters through Tosa Village covered Hart Park and its stadium.
The overnight storm began causing outages late Aug. 9, and many customers remained without power for much of Aug. 10 as We Energies crews responded to city neighborhoods.
