The polls have opened, and Wauwatosa voters have begun filling out their ballots to determine the winner of several contested local and state races in Wisconsin's spring election on April 7.
Watch for results and other updates on Tosa Forward News after the polls close at 8 p.m.
Past reports on the spring elections can be found at Tosa Forward News' Election Tracker.

The most prominent statewide race is to fill an open seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The candidates in that race are Judge Maria Lazar and Judge Chris Taylor, both Appeals Court judges. Although the seats are nonpartisan, Taylor is seen as the more liberal candidate and Lazar more likely to align with the court's conservatives.
At the county level, Wauwatosa residents are voting for their Milwaukee County supervisor, either in District 5, where newcomer LeeVan Roundtree is running unopposed, or District 6, where incumbent Shawn Rolland also is running unopposed.
The only citywide municipal race is for judge. Incumbent Judge Krista LaFave is running unopposed.
The Wauwatosa School Board, which represents all Wauwatosa residents, has four seats up for election. The eight candidates are incumbents Liz Heimerl-Rolland, Jason Wautier and Lynne Woerhle; newcomer Melissa Lamers, and four candidates running together as the self-described 2030 Slate, Heather Birk, Todd Koehler, Chris Merker and Dan Stemper.

All 12 seats on the Wauwatosa Common Council are up for election, as the city transitions to a smaller council from the former 16-member body. Most of the candidates, however, are running unopposed.
The three contested elections are in District 4, where Sean Hurley and Amanda Saso are the candidates; District 8, with Michael Indy Stluka and Matt Wicker, and District 11, a face-off between two incumbents, Melissa Dolan and Mike Morgan.
