Warmer weather is bringing more bicyclists to the streets of Wauwatosa, and the Bublr bike-share program has plans to get more of those bicyclists on its bikes.

"We are really excited about our ongoing collaboration with the city," Bublr Bikes Executive Director Ted Chisholm told the Wauwatosa Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Committee during its May 18 meeting, and this year, "we are very committed to providing a more active presence in the city."

Wauwatosa now has 22 Bublr stations, where riders can check out bikes for a fee using the Bublr app. They then can return the bikes to any of Bublr's more than 100 stations across Milwaukee, Tosa and West Allis.

Last year, riders checked out Bublr bikes from Tosa stations 2,463 times, a decrease from the previous year, though usage so far in May 2026 is trending higher, Chisholm said.
